Krono²

A marketplace for vintage watches.

A commerce platform for buying and selling vintage timepieces, where provenance and condition matter as much as price.

The problem

Vintage watches do not sell like ordinary retail stock. Every piece is a single unit with its own reference number, movement, condition grade, and service history. Generic storefronts assume interchangeable inventory with sizes and quantities, so listings lose exactly the detail a serious buyer needs to make a decision — and sellers end up pasting it into free-text descriptions where nobody can filter on it.

The approach

Krono² treats each listing as a one-of-one object with structured attributes. Buyers filter on the things that actually determine value — brand, reference, era, movement type, case material, condition — and see the full record before they commit. The catalog, merchandising, and checkout are built around single-unit inventory rather than fighting a model designed for bulk retail.

Inside the product

Built for inventory where every unit is different

  • One-of-one inventory

Every listing is a single unit with its own reference, condition grade, and provenance record. Sold means sold, with no quantity field to get out of sync.

  • Attribute-led discovery

Faceted search across brand, reference, era, movement, case material, and condition — the criteria collectors actually shop on.

  • Structured provenance

Service history, box and papers, and condition notes captured as real fields rather than buried in a description paragraph.

  • Considered checkout

A purchase flow built for high-value, low-frequency transactions, where buyer confidence matters more than speed to cart.
